One of the best first-person shooters of all time, it seems to be recreated this year, as Goldeneye 007 apparently getting an update that will be available for Xbox later this year. Here’s what we know so far.
Rumors that the James Bond classic will be updated have been circulating on the World Wide Web for years, but on January 1, True Achievements, a seat dedicated to tracking Xbox performance, a very interesting discovery leaked: a complete list of achievements for Golden eye, including the cards, weapons and characters of the iconic game.
This certainly indicates that the game is being recreated for the Xbox and to add even more fuel to the speculative fire, the leak showed that the achievements were unlocked by only two active player brands: BIGsheep and Waylander73. Why is this significant? Because they believe the labels are for James Thomas and Rich Cousins, developers are at Rare Ltd., which is part of Xbox Game Studios.
For now, that’s all we really know. But that has not stopped the internet from speculating, as it is used to doing. Many have noted that August 25th will be the 25th anniversary of the original game’s release, so it would make sense to release the updated version then, which definitely makes sense, but again, there was no real confirmation from Xbox about the existence of the game, let alone when it will be available.
A legendary game like Golden eye It’s exciting to finally enter the world of modern games, but what we all really want is for it to be available for Switch. After all, Golden eye was an N64 game, so it’s only natural that it will find a home on the latest Nintendo console. But for now, it looks like it’s gonna be made for Xbox first. The new Goldeneye is in development at Rare Ltd., so it’s possible that it’s exclusive to Xbox.
