It’s been so successful that the policy was recently expanded beyond HQ to its Reno, NV distribution center.
- The company extends childcare beyond its borders, too: new parents who have to travel for business are provided a traveling child care professional so they can bring their baby with them.
- Company founder Yvon Chouinard’s memoir is entitled Let My People Surf, so you know employee well-being is in the company DNA. Employees are expected to ditch work when the surf or snow is good – they’re simply expected to get their work done before or after.
